HybridDigital™ Purifi Eigentakt™ Amplifier

The NAD M33 is a groundbreaking high-end streaming integrated amplifier that utilizes innovative Purifi Eigentakt™ technology. It has already been awarded the prestigious EISA Award as the best "Smart Amplifier 2020/21." With nearly 50 years of experience in amplifier technology development, NAD has once again set new benchmarks with the M33.

The Purifi Eigentakt™ technology was developed by the Danish company Purifi, which brings together leading experts in the HiFi industry to eliminate the last remaining weaknesses in digital amplifier technology. Featuring extremely low intermodulation distortion, an ultra-low total harmonic distortion of just 0.005% across the entire frequency range, and minimal self-noise, the Purifi Eigentakt™ technology redefines amplifier performance.

The development of this revolutionary technology was based on the realization that amplifier components suffer from a memory effect, known as hysteresis, which leads to sound quality degradation. By modifying the output stage and employing intelligent algorithms, Purifi has significantly reduced these hysteresis effects. Furthermore, Eigentakt™ amplifiers are completely insensitive to different speaker loads and offer an extremely low output impedance, resulting in precise and controlled bass reproduction.

BluOS™ High-Resolution Music Streaming
The NAD M33 is equipped with BluOS™, the most advanced network streaming and multi-room system on the market. BluOS™ enables high-resolution audio streaming across multiple rooms and offers a unique combination of hardware and software for an exceptional user experience. It supports the latest compression standard MQA and allows music streaming from leading services such as Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, Amazon HD, Spotify, Amazon Music, and many more. The M33 can also be seamlessly integrated into various smart home systems.

Dirac Live®
Another innovative feature of the NAD M33 is Dirac Live® room correction. It allows the system to be adapted to the room acoustics by not only analyzing specific frequencies but also considering the impulse response of audio signals. After calibration, Dirac Live® delivers a more balanced, natural, and spatial sound reproduction, improved speech intelligibility, and deeper, tighter bass. The M33 offers five different Dirac Live profiles to adapt the sound to various acoustic environments.

MDC – Future-Proof Design
The modular design of the M33 allows for future upgrades with additional features. It includes two slots for MDC modules that can support upcoming audio formats or new technologies. With Apple AirPlay 2, the M33 seamlessly integrates into an Apple network, enabling music playback from Mac, iPhone, or iPad with Siri voice control.

Connections and Bluetooth®
The M33 offers a wide range of connections, including six digital and three analog inputs, an MM/MC phono input, HDMI, USB, and LAN ports, as well as two independent subwoofer outputs with a configurable digital crossover. Additionally, it features a high-quality phono preamplifier for MM and MC systems and a powerful headphone amplifier with low output impedance for planar magnetic and high-impedance studio headphones.

Smart Home Integration
The M33 offers extensive integration into smart home systems and can be controlled via Apple Siri voice control or Amazon Alexa. Its high-quality aluminum chassis is not only elegant but also extremely robust, providing a stable base for the complex internal circuitry. History of NAD

In 1972, NAD was founded as a completely new audio company. A group of HiFi importers in Europe, all passionate music lovers, aimed to develop HiFi components that deliver excellent sound quality at moderate prices. When founder and longtime CEO Marty Borish hired sound engineer Björn Erik Edvardsen as a developer, he laid the foundation for the magic of NAD. Under Edvardsen’s leadership, the legendary NAD 3020 was created, becoming the best-selling amplifier in HiFi history.

Further groundbreaking innovations followed, such as the first cassette deck with Dolby C, the NAD 6100, the revolutionary premium CD player NAD 5200, and the digital amplifier M2, which debunked the myth that digital HiFi components lack sound quality. All these products were based on remarkable technologies, either developed by NAD itself or in collaboration with external technology partners. These innovations continue to form the foundation for the outstanding sound quality of all NAD HiFi components today.
