At the heart of the NAD C 379 is the state-of-the-art HybridDigital UcD amplification technology, which operates in a fully symmetrical bridge configuration. This enables the amplifier to deliver enormous output power with virtually immeasurable distortion and a very low noise level in the audible range. The powerful power supply continuously provides 80 watts per channel and over 120 watts peak power, ensuring clean playback of even demanding dynamic peaks. For even more power, the C 379 can be operated in bridge mode, achieving an impressive 300 watts per channel when combined with the NAD C 268 power amplifier.

History of NAD

NAD was founded in 1972 as a completely new audio company. A group of hi-fi importers in Europe, all music lovers, aimed to develop hi-fi components that would offer excellent sound quality at moderate prices. When founder and long-time CEO Marty Borish hired sound engineer Björn Erik Edvardsen as a developer, he laid the foundation for the magical world of NAD. Under Edvardsen's leadership, the legendary NAD 3020 was created, becoming the best-selling amplifier in hi-fi history. Further groundbreaking innovations followed, such as the first cassette deck with Dolby C named 6100, the revolutionary premium CD player NAD 5200, and the digital amplifier M2, which disproved the prejudice that digital hi-fi components couldn't sound good. All these products were based on remarkable technologies developed either by NAD itself or in collaboration with external technology partners, forming the foundation of the outstanding sound quality of all NAD hi-fi components to this day.
