With a built-in headphone amplifier and the ability to function as both a DAC and a DAC/preamp, the ZEN DAC 3 is the only device you need on your desk. Powerful headphone support
The ZEN DAC 3 is more than just a USB DAC. With a built-in headphone amplifier and both balanced 4.4mm and unbalanced 6.3mm headphone outputs, you can use it with a wide range of headphones. The high output power of 390mW ensures that even more demanding headphones are well fed.

XBass+ and PowerMatch

Thanks to the Burr-Brown DAC chip, PCM and DSD remain 'bit-perfect' in their native form until analog conversion. The XMOS 16-core chip processes the audio data received via the USB digital input.

The XMOS 16-core chip offers improved processing capacity and supports the latest SuperSpeed ​​USB standards. iFi's own digital development team has optimized the XMOS firmware to maximize sound quality and ensure a perfect partnership with the Burr-Brown DAC.

MQA support
MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is supported over USB, with full decoding of MQA files up to 384kHz. This enables the internal three-stage deconvolution process, as opposed to the MQA 'renderer' method where only the final deconvolution is performed.
