Every Sumiko cartridge, from the Oyster model to the Reference series, is meticulously handcrafted in Yokohama, Japan, with the utmost precision and care. The finest materials are carefully selected by ear, and each design undergoes rigorous testing before production. The result is exceptional sound quality that has been cherished by audiophiles for generations.

The Sumiko Oyster is ideal for light to medium-weight tonearms and fits headshells that allow only bottom-mounting of the cartridge, commonly found on older Thorens turntables.

Technical Details
The Sumiko Oyster cartridge delivers an output voltage of 5 mV and is suitable for connection to MM phono amplifiers with a load resistance of 47 kΩ. Weighing 5.3 grams, it is light enough for use with most modern and classic turntables. The dynamic compliance, lateral, is 12 μm, ensuring excellent tracking accuracy. The spherical stylus has a radius of 18 μm, providing precise groove tracking. The recommended tracking force is 2.3 grams, ensuring optimal sound quality and cartridge longevity.
