Absorber Base TAB 1600 - absorber platform for turntables

Three-layer absorber platform in sandwich construction for highly effective decoupling of the turntable from the ground.

The Thorens Absorber Base TAB 1600 was specially developed for the improved installation of turntables.

The base plate made of MDF, which is additionally dampened by a fabric layer, is made with an acoustic foam in a sandwich construction.

This unique combination decouples the turntable from its underground in a highly efficient manner and thus prevents acoustic feedback.

Contrary to the principle of coupling through spikes, which can often negatively affect the sound quality through vibration coupling to the ground, Thorens uses the principle of decoupling with the TAB 1600 in order to keep negative influences from structure-borne noise away from the turntable.
