Lindemann Audio - Limetree Network II - compact network player

Limetree Network II is the latest version (May 2021) of the successful HighRes streamer!

DSD-capable network player with integrated D/A converter, variable volume control and high-quality headphone output.

The Limetree Network II is a high-class network player or audio renderer which can play back music from streaming providers and local storage media in studio master quality. Connection to the network is established via a LAN cable or WLAN. In addition it is equipped with a USB port for connecting harddisk drives and other USB storage media. Beside an analog line-level output, the network player also has an excellent sounding headphone output.

The innovations at a glance:

D/A converter and analog output stage (new development):

• Converter chip ES9038 Saber DAC. Ultra high resolution, integrated DPLL and SRC for jitter elimination.
• MEMS Femto Clock <500 fs clock jitter. Extremely stable clock with extremely low phase noise for the best sound results.
• High quality analog volume control. This means an extremely low level of background noise. High-frequency interference products from the converter module are attenuated along with the volume. Full resolution even at low volumes.
• Headphone amplifier with excellent sound quality and high output current. Lowest distortion, high damping factor, drives headphones from 16 to 300 ohms.
• IR remote control for volume, mute and track selection. Can also be used for operation as a CD player with an external CD-ROM drive.

Integrated preamplifier with extended functions:

• Volume of headphones and line output can be controlled separately. Perfect when used with headphones and loudspeakers at the same time. Each output retains its last set volume.
• Balance control with +/- 6 dB control range (in 1 dB steps).
• Headphone volume optimally adjustable: 0 dB / +12 dB. Useful e.g. when using magnetostats with low efficiency.

Additional app settings:

• 7 different over-sampling filters can be selected.
• Balance +/- 6 dB

• LED brightness low/high

The LINDEMANN App

The Limetree Network is controlled almost exclusively via the newly designed LINDEMANN app which is available both for Android and iOS. Apart from the smartphone version, there is also a proprietary tablet version in the landscape mode. The app allows a fluent, intuitive browsing and searching. A new feature is the simultaneous display of browse view and play view. In addition you can also call up your current play queue. The album-oriented programming allows the playback of a complete album with just one push of a button!

In addition, the specially integrated multi-room function also allows to run several streamers in different rooms separately or coupled. The range of streaming services is diversified, with a clear focus on studio master quality and hi-fi subscriptions. Customers may choose between TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer, HighResAudio and Spotify. Through the Lindemann Audio partner airable they will also get access to thousands of podcasts and radio stations worldwide.
